In August, 2006, a friend of mine heard that I was thinking of getting a dog. She was breeding miniature schnauzers at that time.  She gave me Mr. Bennett when he was 3 months old. He is the smartest thing I have ever met. He knows over 50 words and 30 tricks. We have done agility, canine freestyle, therapy, and he is my helper for in-home dog training consultations.

In August, 2009, my husband and I decided we were ready for dog number two. We were both attracted to the physice of the German Shorthaired Pointer and looked on to find a rescue. We drove 2 hours to look at him and ended up taking him home that day. Princeton has taught me tons about how to deal with a fearful (vs. dominant) dog. Patience, patience, patience is key with him. He is still learning what is expected of him, but we have had a great time seeing him come out of his shell. Princeton loves the sport of bikejoring and is always ready to go for a run.
